Wild Orange Day Lily

Lilies are such a delicate & graceful flower but so much better when they are wild orange, don't you agree?  Orange is my favorite color, it just exudes "life" and "check me out."
These were photographed at one of my favorite places, along the walking/ bike trail between Manitowoc and Two Rivers (Wisconsin) on the Western lakeshore of Lake Michigan. You'll find that most of my wildflower pictures are going to be from the same locale. They have different wildflowers in bloom throughout Spring - Fall, so every month there are different ones in bloom.

Jonah's Letter

Jonah's Freshman year is coming to a close and he was awarded a "letter" for his participation in music - This is only his second year in choir and he got a 1st on his class A vocal repertoire at solo & ensemble.
Lots of amazing things ahead for this great young man!

 Mama loves you, Jonah 💙💙💙

Globe Thistle

Another unique capture from the nature paths along Lake Michigan in Wisconsin.
I think my best photos are my wildflower macro shots.
Lovely periwinkle shades of the Globe Thistle flower. Enjoy!

Sara Smile

Enjoying a rainy cool "is it almost Spring YET" day in Wisconsin.  Still Spring "Sweata Weatha" here.
Y'all remember the 70's Hall and Oates hit by the same title of this post? 💗 One of the two "Sara" songs in existence that I love. The other is the Fleetwood Mac "Sara."

Starship "Sara" = Don't even.👎

New Day Orange Gazania.

I have no words but "wow"
This is one of my favorite photographs I have ever taken.
My mom passed away last summer and I used this photo on her memorial cards at her service. It's just a really classy capture.

Native Milkweed

There are many native prairie grasses and plants throughout Wisconsin, this was taken in the rural outskirts of De Pere, WI along the East River. Milkweed is a crucial native perennial for monarch butterflies and is a nectar source for bees and pollinators.

Dense Blazing Star

Dense Blazing Star - Macro Photography - Sara's Way

Dreamer

Enjoy the journey of my son Jonah's 10 years of youth hockey in Wisconsin. I captured footage all year and included some of his first steps on the ice, and the moment they won State in 2024 💖
He started playing in Sauk Prairie and in 2019 we moved to De Pere where he played his final seasons of youth hockey. I am grateful to have watched him grow in spirit along the way. Thank you for the memories son.

Norway Maple Bud

Spring comes to life in Wisconsin, after a particularly LONG winter which included both a blizzard and a flood in April -
there is a joyous awakening of buds and blossoms!

J & J on the Beach

BoyMom Life - Although the western shore of Lake Michigan in Wisconsin was still-beyond-too-cold to actually go in during April, that did not stop my sons from dipping their toes in to celebrate the first warm day of Spring.  Note the water here is not really "comfortable" for swimming until late July-August, in April there was likely still ice over much of the water. We just happened to catch the beach on a warm day ("warm" being relative to the ending of a long cold Wisconsin winter).
